Hello mate, you answered my question as you said a mate of yours was after a clio. l tried e-mailing you the details but got a failure notice. Do you have another e-mail address?

l used to own a 54 plate 1.5DCi that the EGR warning light kept coming on. l took it back to the dealer who eventually (after me nagging them) replaced it under warranty. l had this car for a year then traded it for a Scenic 1.9DCi. Guess what , less than an hour after driving it away, the EGR light came on. After 2 visits to the dealer , the EGR valve was replaced!. l have just traded this in for a petrol Laguana. Why, well apart from the deal l got, the service dept told me the EGR valve was a common problem on ALL Renault DCi engined vehicles!

Blank the damned thing off!!!!
They are more trouble than they are worth.
The car will run just the same if not better.
