Hello All

l have a 54 Reg Renault Laguna 2.2 DCi

i am having a couple of problems with it, as always with a renault.

1) knocking noises everytime l go over a bump along with squeaks

2) Rattling in Acceleration but dissapears after about 30 minutes of driving, sort of like a sound if the dashboard was lose.

3) everytime turn right on full lock somthing hum is and squeaks once straight goes away.

4) Wheels Are Poo ! Stupid 17 isblown 1 in only 4 months of having it over a pot hole.

Does anyone have any ideas on what number 1, 2 and 3 might be, number 4 is just a rant im having.

1 could be a ball joint if so needs doing asp before it pulls out and the wheel ends up under the car
2 could poss be the fuel pump
3 poss wheel bearing

Simplist thing to check is loose exaust brackets.Get hols of rear pipe when its cold and shake it.You will then hear if you have a loose bracket or rubber holding ring.Otherwise it could be heat shield on the cat or underneath car.When you get the car Mot`d then ask the guy if you can look under the car and check.Right turns sound like your power steering pump may have a loose belt or need topping up.

i had a rattling on accelaration it was heat shield on exhaust had went thru puddle and bent it enabling it to rattle on exhaust.

Numbers 1, 2, 4, and a little of 3 DEFINALTLY point to needing your bearings checked out.
Do not be ripped off by a dealer, a small, local garage, with a good name, can do this MUCH cheaper.
Three years old does seem a little young to be having such problems, but, having had, erm, three of my Renaults have bearings go on me, those symptoms are VERY familiar.

1 and 2 sound like a problem with the exhaust system.

3 does sound like a wheel bearing - If you've done somewhere near 70k that is more than likely the cause - both my front bearings went around that distance.
