l got a ''54'' plate ren.clio and my rear washer does not work,its trying to pull water through but nofthing is coming through.the motor is fine but its like its got no water left in the bottle.i thought it ran off the same as the front windscreen bottle and ive looked everywhere for a seprate bottle.its not blocked,ive put a safety pin through the nozzle,its not iced up and ive tried to follow the water tube but thats impossible without taking the car apart.is there a second bottle hidden away?theres nofthing in the handbook nither.any advice???

there is either a blockage in the pipe or the attchment has poped of the nozel

it will or should run from same supply as the front ....i think the pipe which feeds the rear jet has come off the back of the jet .....check for wet spots in the boot ......ford focus estates do this all the time

Yeah, Happens all the time on Clio's. Your nozzle has got blocked at the pressure build up has popped the hose off somewere. Its ususally where it connects with the jet. Dead easy to fix though, its just a friction fit.

There is only one bottle & one pump, this operates both the front & rear washers, the switch reverse is the supply feeds to the pump so it can be operated in both directions.
Even though the pump is operating it may not be generating enough pressure to operate the rear washer.
There is a join in the rear washer jet pipe work, which is close to the pump.
You can see the join when the bonnet is open, it is located between the black scuttle trim & the edge of the passenger side wing.
Try disconnecting here & seeing if any water comes out when u operate the rear washer.
If no water comes out then the pump is faulty.
If water does come out then u may find that the rear washer pipe is trapped between the rear spoiler & the boot lid.

The spoiler is held on to the boot lid by six 20 torx screws, two on either end & two located centrally. After all the screws r removed the spoiler needs a good pull to get it off as it has two clips holding it in position.
You can the access the pipe, hopefully it wont be to badly damaged & u will be able to repair it.

if this problem has just suddenly occurred l would say definately going to be the pump.
'54' plate, is that not still under warranty.?
