Needle was low this morning so l put 10 litres in. Light came on tonight and l put another 10 litres in, but it is still on and the needle says empty. I've only done about 5-10 miles today! Any idea why, or how to fix it? Stuck float in the tank maybe? Fixes?
Correction...the needle says nearly empty. Its like it goes down in relation to how much fuel l burn, but doesnt go up with refills!
Thanks. l do not have the money to let a garage fix it...already got bodywork to do after my little brother ''crashed'' at 5 MPH!!!
Just restarted it and it is fixed iteself.
At least the car has character lol

mine did this. l drive an '04 Xsara. all l did, was ring the service place up, tell they me to bring it in. but before l took it in, it started working fine again.
just keep your eye on it, then if its the same after you fill up next time, then contact a garage
