Can anyone suggest what the problem is and if it is possible to fix it easily/cheaply - l got the car last September and it is never worked on setting '2'. l do not have a car manual or many tools either! It was a nuisance in the winter having to wait for 15mins to defrost/demist the windscreen (I am in Poland, we get -15 degrees C some days so frost on the inside is commonplace!), and with the summer coming soon it will need fixing (at the other end of the scale we can have 35-40 degrees C - talk about extremes!). I'd prefer to avoid taking it to a specialist Renault garage, it is REALLY expensive over here. Could it be a fuse or something more serious? Any help would be appreciated :)

it is nothing to do with the wiring as you have power there.It willbe a fauly switch!!Go to your local scrap yard & get a new switch, they should just pull off, If not you local motor discountstore by order .. or Renault will have one.
