My remote for central locking on my 2002 clio has broken, l have been to local renault garage and they fitted a new battery which didnt work so they said l need a new key.
They said it was going to be £150! to me this sounds accessive for a car worth about £3000.
Does anyone know where l can get one any cheaper?

l am afriad you will have to go to the dealer for the key because it will have the immobliser chip in it as well and will have to be programmed on a computer to ''match'' your car.

That is about right. l just wrote my older one off when l lost the key. you can not even change the locks because the immobiliser works on the blip button.

search on line for mobile car lock smiths in your area they maybe able to cut and reprogramme new keys. Whats happened to spare key?

this happened to me a few weeks back unfortunately l had to go to the dealer (there is no other option) and they charged me £120 you will have to pay just like l did l was gobsmacked its such a ripoff
