what do you think of renault clios

l have my second Clio and love it.

To small, too slow.

I've never had one myself but know people who have, they seem to rate them

OK while they are going, but repairs may cost an arm and a leg. Go Japanese for peace of mind.

They're great! Mine has just been written off- sob! l am looking for another because l found it so reliable. If you do not need a big family car they are excellent.

Great cars! l used to be a driving instructor & l had a couple of Mk1 Clios. Never had any bother with them, despite doing 40,000 miles a year with, how shall l put it, some less than sympathetic drivers at the wheel!
Also drove a mate is Clio when it had 115,000 miles on it, which was fine.

absolute waste of money, Myself & both of my brothers r mechanics at different garages & the most common car we see in each garage is the Renault Clio. l actually own one that l bought in 2001 before l became a mechanic & so far l have replaced the drop-links 4 times, I've have 2 new drive-shafts, l have replaced the strut mountings twice & the airbag warning light is on in the dashboard display which means my airbags do not work. These r all common faults with Renault Clios. Do not buy one

my hubby used to sell renaults and l got to drive his demos. the clio is a brilliant car and the safety features are way above all the others. if you are thinking of getting one, id say definately go for it.

My wife & l r on our fourth.

We got a 53 reg 1.5dC l Dynamique which was an excellent litle run around.

We then went sporty & got a 55 plate 182 which was excellent fun.

Moving home meant trading down, but we got an 06 (New style) 1.5 dC l (86bhp) Dynamique which was a fantastic car with only £50 road tax!

l now run a 56 1.2 Extreme to commute with whereas my wife runs about in a Scenic.

Ca not fault any of the Clios. They r excellent cars that do exactly what they r supposed to. The 182 is a stormer, but if its town driving you're after then my 1.2 Extreme is perfect.

The new style 1.5dC l was probably the best of the buch overall.

buy a laguna :)
