To start the megane you have to press the brake or clutch peddle and then the start stop button. The problems started a couple of weeks ago when l could no longer start the car with the clutch peddle being pressed but it would start if l pressed the brake. Then this morning the car would not start regardless of which peddle l tried. If anyone could offer any advice l would extremly grateful.

Check your battery and it connections ~~

the megane is well known for electrical problems l think its something to do with the keyless ignition system so you will need to get in touch with a local renault dealer

it could be ur starter motor try rolling the car forward and start at the same time.

or it could be the battery in the key card, if that is flat when you put it in the slot nothing happens.

Check the top of the clutch pedal and you will find the pedal switch, you will probably find the wiring to this has broken. If the car is still cranking over when using the brake pedal its usually the TDC sensor at fault. Good luck

Broken wire(s) at switch at top of clutch pedal. Very awkward to mend because they break right at the connection so the connector needs opening and terminals renewed. Expect a garage to charge 30 to 60 minutes labour.
TDC sensor is a probable fault for this morning, - its unlikely that the wires on the brake pedal are also faulty.
