Please, need some help here. l own a renault clio s reg, automatic. problem is when l start it up, after a bit the revs willstart going down as if it would stall and would jerk, when l drive it , it will jerk alot and would not pull properly. its like a loss of power and feels like the gears are stuck or something.

ive had it serviced, but didnt cure, plug leads changed, didnt cure. whats rong with it???

i would really appreciate it if someone would help me out here.
thankyou very much
How do l check for transmission fluid???

where is it located and what is it used for???

it may need transmission fluid? this info should be in your drivers manual should cover where to locate etc, sorry l do not know where to put mine either but that was what was wrong with my automatic Fiesta when it was jerking like that ! Good luck

It could be your timing, or maybe your automatic choke, a garage would tell you better.

l am afraid you will have to take it to Renault to find out whats going on. They make those cars so that the layman can not establish a problem without their diagnostic tools.

l own a Clio Automatic too and just had it back from the garage for gearbox repairs (£1,500!) and heard a lot of bad things about the Renault automatic gearboxes.

Hopefully you will have a much more minor problem than l did! Good luck!
