This should not happen in 3 yr. old car. Get around to Main dealer and politely complain. Also contact consumer direct-- find this with google.

Not normal at all. You will no doubt get a few jokers on here saying ''what do u expect from a French car?'' but bear in mind Renaults & Peugeots r often the car of choice in places like Africa where the roads r often nothing more than dirt tracks.
It is very uncommon nowadays for any cars suspension to totally collapse ( l take it you're not just talking about a broken shock absorber here) Have u hit any big potholes recently?
The car is got a 3 year warranty, so it may be worth pursuing a claim if it can be proved that the failure is due to a manufacturing defect & not just normal wear & tear.

No its not normal contact your local Renault dealer this is a safety related item.Ask them if they will do a post warranty claim for you if you are the 1st registered owner you stand a good chance they will pay a percentage of the repair costs.

Funny my FR suspension seems to have collapsed today. l have had nothing but problems with my laguna. Head gasket went (apparently a design fault with DC l engines which means the turbo & engine destroy each other). The clutch pedal stays stuck in because the clutch head cylinder was badly designed. The allignment never stays in & tyre replacement is regular. its only 03. my biggest regret buying a renault.
As a matter of interest did u hear squeaking or creaking from the suspension when driving it?
