renault fuego I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this car that was sold in the 1980's

l can only tell you that it was an ugly car it was square and most were convertable.

The other answer is wrong, the were not square or convertible, he/she is thinking of the Alliance, not the Fuego.

The first time l saw a fuego was in france when we were on holiday, l thought they were quiet stylish at the time, the hatch area with the black plastic fluting down the side.

l think it was aimed as a mid sized 2 door coupe with a couple of engine options. They didnt last long though as most french cars in them days had poor build quality and rust saw them die off by the end of the 80's.

Convertible?? Ha Ha! It was a hatchback, was considered a poor man is Porsche 944 due to it is styling and rusted like F*ck - Hence they would be as rare as rocking horse shite now.
