Sounds like you are going to have to take it to a garage :(

When stop lights come on there may have been one of a number of issues that the CPU can not deal with or a self check has failed & intervention may be required from a dealer. Sometimes turning the ignition off & then starting the car clears the indicator because second time round all automated self checks have been performed satisfactorily, so there was no reason for the indicator to light.

l do not fully understand ur problem to help u further because u have not left enough information - ''my car wo not start'' does that mean the engine is not even trying to turn over or it is turning over but wo not ignite?

When u turn the ignition on the stop light is on anyway, it only goes off a few second after the engine starts running & all checks r able to be performed, so this would mean it is normal for the stop light to be on along with other lights on the dashboard.

Based upon the limited info u have given the most likely thing l can think of is that the battery might be flat, either something has been left on draining the battery, the alternator is not charging properly or the battery has simply failed ( it can happen that batteries suddenly stop working ). For an almost 6 year old car a failed battery is quite a high possibilty have u tried jump starting it?

Because l do not know ur problem l can not suggest u jump start the car in case there is an issue where starting may cause damage, however if u can, l do suggest u check the battery voltage with a multimeter, if it is much less than 12V u know u have a problem with the battery or charging of it.

Another thing..some batteries can freeze in very cold weather especially if they r discharged

And lastly u could check whether the terminals on ur battery have good contact. If u actually disconnect ur battery to help clean terminals it is also possible when reconnecting the problem will clear, but please bear in mind u will have to re-enter ur radio code.

Good luck
