l have an 02 plate megane coupe. Its the 2nd megane coupe hat I've had and l love it. Aprt from one thing. Whenever it rains ( which it does a lot here in Scotland!), the drivers seat belt ends up soaking wet. There is no water anywhere else just the seat belt, and inside its housing.
l have had the car at the garage numerous times and they can never find a leak. They actually had the nerve to ask me if l was leaving the window or sunroof open! But there is NO WATER anywhere else?
Can anyone shed any light on this. It seems to worse when parked at a slight up hill angle but l can not avoid hills when parking!
I am fed up driving about with a towel and plastic bag wrapped around the belt - please help!

l would advise u might have a sun roof leak?

open ur sun roof & look for the water run off channels & find the holes which connect to hoses leading down the pillars normally front & rear corners but could have one going out of the middle & rod them out or better still blow compressed air down them the pipe could be blocked & washing back over the rails, (you might Have an hose split & leaking into pillar) if park uphill maybe rear run off pipe blocked,this is the only suggestion l can give u to check,

Maybe you have a little hole on your roof due to some rust and is happens the hole on top where your seat belt.

its the Ariel trust me l done loads and l had 14 meganes and 5 coupes and l worked for renault .
remove the interior light unit and gain access to 8 mm nut which hold ariel on pull out ariel on top clean roof and base use a sealant waterproof or silcone sealant around two holes and refit it make adry day cause it will take a couple of hours to set.
