l HAVE AN R REG CLIO (FACE LIFT MODEL) WHICH NEEDS PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING REPAIRED. IN THE PAPER THERE IS A GUY OFFERING AN R REG (OLDER STYLE ) CLIO FOR 150.
BOTH ARE 1.2ENGINES AND l WAS JUST WONDERING, WOULD l BE ABLE TO TRANSFER THE PARTS FROM THE BOXY STYLE CLIO TO MY MORE ROUNDED CLIO, LIKE THE ENGINE, CLUTCH, EXHAUST, FRONT WINGS ETC ETC ??? l HAVE SOMEONE TO DO ALL NECESSARY WORK TO THE CAR

Seems a lot of work, and no guarantee of the parts being interchangeable. From what I've seen, the engines are different, the clutch, wings & exhaust will certainly be different on the facelift models, it does not look like a viable prospect to me.

The engine/gearbox will fit if they are the same number but the 1.2 engine changed on this model from the ''energy'' engine to the ''diet'' engine. As with the engine the clutch will be OK if the gearbox number is the same but as a new clutch is £50 from a motor factors l would not bother. The exhaust should be OK but the wings are different as the headlights have be changed due to the face-lift.
