l have a Clio Expression 02 Reg (1.2 engine). I've owned it for 2 year with no problem until recently. For the past few month l have experienced juddering when l first drive it. It almost stalls so l have to rev it. After a few mile, the car seems fine again but then problem is back when l drive it the next day.
It also has a starting problem which happened a few month ago. It will start first time but once its stopped it wont start again and can take up to an hour to get it started. l took it to the garage but they cant point out what is causing the problem but said it is more than likely the crankshaft sensor. So l changed the crankshaft sensor 6 weeks ago and that seemed to solve the problem until a few days ago. Now the problem is back but alot worse.
l noticed the 'monitoring exhaust gas' warning light was on a week ago. Then the car started juddering and feeling like it was losing power. l drove it the next day, stopped for 5 minutes and it wouldnt start again. l eventually got it started an hour later. It was trying to cut out so l had to rev it. Managed to drive about 3 mile and the car just cut out. The 'Electrical Incident' warning light came on. The car wouldnt start so l left the car and when l went back to it 2 hours later, it started.
l drove the car today, stopped the car for 15 minutes and the car wouldnt start again. l eventually got it started an hour later, drove it 3 mile, it started juddering and losing power then cut out. The warning light for 'monitoring exhaust gas' came on and wouldnt start again so l left the car and went back to it a few hours later. It started first time, l drove it home, stopped the car then tried to start it again but it wont fire up.

Has anyone else experience this problem or know what could be causing it?

Check the air intake tube between the intake and the MAP sensor it could have a tear in it
