neither the key or fob is working.. renault say break the window! is there any other way? anymuch appreciated

call out a locksmith to get in to the car.. or ring the aa if you are a member , or have you got brake down cover on your ins policy, as all these places have ways off getting into the car

Try the key again, physically in the door. Strange that it is not working (even without the central locking power).

Try to move the window glass down with ur hands flat against it.. ur luck maybe in.

Try the boot lock with the key, if u can open the boot, u can gain access to the cabin that way, by folding the chairs down for through the hole if applicable.

Other then that, u can try to bend the door back, where the corner of the door meets the roof (if u r going to use this technique, do it on the door with the most damage on already).

If u did have to brake a window, & u have comprehensive insurance, then u would have to pay only the excess for window replacement (£60).. This OBVIOUSLY is not to be encouraged. But bear that in mind if Mr Lock Smith is going to charge u £100 call out fee, & £75 to open the door.
