Hi l have a y reg (2001) megane coupe dyaminique plus, and need to put a baby car seat in, so need to deactivate the passenger airbag...
called renault who said there is a switch saying airbag on/off on the steering column... l cant see it anywhere...
does anyone know where it would be? or another way to deactivate the airbag...

it may be part of the ignition switch itself.some car makers use a key switch to turn them on/off..isnt it mentioned in your owners manual?..

the airbag on/off is or as l remember on the passenger side. when you open the passener door its on the end of the dash board. l think.
if not take it to the dealer and theyll show you where it is for free

Hi there is one definate way using Renault ''CLIP which is the dealerships diagnostic computer. Some models were fitted with the switch some wernt. If it has one its on the side of the dash board.
